Fictional autobiography of a castaway who is shipwrecked on an island off the coast of the Americas and who spends 27 years before finally being rescued. Attractive copy bound in decorated paper boards with cloth spine. Boards are rubbed to edges and corners. 8 colour illustrations and numerous b/w line-drawings by J. Finnemore. Previous owner has written on blank front endpaper "Robinson Crusoe - The author, Daniel Defoe, is supposed to have based his story on the experiences of Alexander Selkirk who had lived alone on the island of Juan Fernandez in the Pacific Ocean for 4 years". A little foxing to edges and endpapers but generally a very good clean copy. Undated. Unpaginated.
